Cookin' in the kitchen

Last night I found myself in the kitchen for quite some time. I was knee deep in crock pot candy! I had wax paper spread ALL OVER the kitchen counters, on the stove, on the kitchen table, etc.

I enjoyed making it, but for some reason it seemed like it took a lifetime this year! (I remember finishing pretty fast last year). Oh well, I have it all bagged up and ready to give to all the teachers at my school along with anyone who crossed my path that I think needs a little treat. I am telling y'all, this stuff is GOOD. I think I ended up with about 350 pieces! (imagine, 350 TEAspoon dips into the crock pot) Whew.

It does make me happy though, because I know it will be enjoyed. Christmas is a time for giving, and since I just started my job, I don't exactly have the money to buy every single person/teacher a gift! I am glad I have my grandmother's recipe to help me out.

Tomorrow night I am off to a dirty santa with my friends in town. Hope I get somethin' good! I will report!

crafty in the kitchen

At some point during the holidays, I want to try to make a few of these. I usually use my grandmother's crockpot candy recipe. It makes a TON and is so good. I will post the recipe closer to the holidays.
