Life Lately

I have just been so busy with my new job, that I neglected my blog!

The Thanksgiving holidays were great. We headed to Birmingham, where both of our families were celebrating. Franklin cut the turkey for the first time. I have to say he did a great job.

I wish that AU cup wasn't in the way.

Some of our cookers...

We had wonderful food. Here is a preview...don't worry, that's not all!

We then headed over to the next feast...gobble til you wobble. I do not have a picture of the food or family, but I DO have a picture of mom on the ipad. This is a HUGE deal if you know mom. She can't even send an email. I had to document this. Bless her.

Over Thanksgiving break, I also got to spend time with my dog while I was home. We had a little photo shoot when we went on a walk one day.

I also went to an engagement party and the Margarita Ball.

And last, but certainly not least, GOT THE CHRISTMAS TREE.

It looks a little small here, but it is almost 9 feet tall and so pretty. I will take an updated picture sooner or later.

Kindergarten is going well and I already have many funny stories. My kids are having a ball with Elf on the Shelf. They chose to name the elf Elfie. He does tons of crazy things like switch all the calendar numbers around, sit atop the classroom christmas tree, make a tower out of folder baskets (leaving suckers under the bottom basket) and write silly notes like this one:

It has definitely been an adjustment teaching K rather than third, but I am enjoying it more and more each day. I am really getting to know the students and their little personalities.

In other news, I am so excited that ALABAMA is going to the National Championship. I was fortunate enough to get to attend the game in Pasadena and I hope that I will get to attend this one in New Orleans. I already have a hotel room, now I just need to find tickets...not so easy.

I hope everyone has a wonderful week!
Thanks for reading and ROLL TIDE!

K
